Blog 6: Changes to My Study Programme

Hi everyone

Antonio Varas Room
Today I am going to talk to you about the changes I would make in my career.

In my career the classes are 50% theoretical and 50% practical, but I have always felt that the practical ones are more important, especially the workshop, since it is in this field where everything learned is put into practice.

That is why the first change I would like to make is to give greater importance to the theoretical classes, making them more dynamic, so that in this way it is much more pleasant to acquire knowledge about the theater. In the practical fields, I would change two things, the field of production techniques would make it very complete, in order to acquire better knowledge about the realization of objects, such as using tools, among other things. Finally, I would like the lighting classes to take place in the Antonio Varas Room, since it would be better for the students to understand lighting from a theater room rather than from a poorly structured room.

Regarding the infrastructure of the university, I would change my career and theatrical performance to a place with more space, to be able to generate good scenographies, with a great tailoring shop to be able to produce costumes, it would be very good to have a space that produced many more eager to learn, with a patio with green areas.

In the best of cases, I would like these changes to be implemented, but since the arts faculty has a great debt, I doubt that they will be realized in the short or medium term.

See you in a next blog 💙
